audiodevices

The audiodevices application program gets audio
device capabilities. The program prints out the available audio
devices for the Multimedia Services product, the associated
device numbers, and the device capabilites for both input and
output.
 
The audiodevices program provides the following
information regarding the audio devices you use with the
Multimedia Services product:

o  Product ID is a description of the audio device.

o  Product Name is that name given to the audio device in
   Multimedia Services.

o  Manufacturer ID is the manufacturer's description for the
   audio device in Multimedia Services.

o  Driver Version is the version number of the Multimedia
   Services device driver for the audio device.

o  Supported Formats are the standard audio formats currently
   available for the device. They include the sample rate, sample
   size, and format as well as mono and stereo. The available
   formats may change, based on whether the device is currently
   in use. The device may also support other unlisted nonstandard
   formats.

o  Channels is the supported number of channels.

o  Device Supports are additional features such as volume control and
   left/right volume.
