Obsolete OpenVMS commands

Although these commands were retired officialy, there are often still available with the current OpenVMS versions. Some commands miss a good description. If you can provide one I'll include it here.

F$LOGICAL

This lexical was superseeded with F$TRNLNM. It does use internaly the obsolete $TRNLOG routine to perform the logical name translation.

Commands to set ACL's

• SET ACL
• SET DEVICE/ACL
• SET DIRECTORY/ACL
• SET FILE/ACL

These commands were superseeded with the more general SET SECURITY.

SET QUEUE/ENTRY

???

SHOW ACL

This command was superseeded with the more general SHOW SECURITY.

SHOW LICENSE/CHARGE_TABLE

This command was superseeded in OpenVMS 6.0 and later with SHOW LICENSE/UNIT_REQUIREMENTS, which gives exactly the same output.

SHOW MAGTAPE <device>

This command results in the same output like SHOW DEVICE/FULL. One may use any device specification with this command, i.e. not only tape devices.
Further information is currently not available.
