Obsolete OpenVMS commands
Although these commands were retired officialy, there are often still
available with the current OpenVMS versions. Some commands miss a good
description. If you can provide one I'll include it here.
- F$LOGICAL
- This lexical was superseeded with
F$TRNLNM. It does use internaly
the obsolete $TRNLOG routine to perform the logical name translation.
- Commands to set ACL's
-
- SET ACL
- SET DEVICE/ACL
- SET DIRECTORY/ACL
- SET FILE/ACL
These commands were superseeded with the more general
SET SECURITY.
- SET QUEUE/ENTRY
- ???
- SHOW ACL
- This command was superseeded with the more general
SHOW SECURITY.
- SHOW LICENSE/CHARGE_TABLE
- This command was superseeded in OpenVMS 6.0 and later with
SHOW LICENSE/UNIT_REQUIREMENTS,
which gives exactly the same output.
- SHOW MAGTAPE <device>
- This command results in the same output like
SHOW DEVICE/FULL. One may use
any device specification with this command, i.e. not only
tape devices.
Further information is currently not available.
