GREP

The GNU grep utility (regular expression search).

Comes as a tar.gz-file.

To build change in to the [.src] subdirectory and execute @[-.vms]make. This will evaluate the system environment and set the appropriate compiler switches. To build grep on OpenVMS versions prior to 7.x you need to install the xvmsutils to get the close-/open-/readdir functions.

Information is due to version 2.4.2.

This version also runs on Linux.
