Comes as a tar.gz file.
To build execute configure.com in the toplevel directory of the perl distribution. Confiugre.com will look for a "make"-Utility to perform the actual build. In case you don't have one yet on your system MMK will be a good choice. More details about this can be found in the notes.
Information due to version 5.8.3.
This version also runs on Linux.
