Survey about preschool experience of gifted children

Dear Parent,
thank you for your interest in this survey. This study explores the effects of different preschool settings onto the self-image of young gifted children. It consists of two questionnaires, one to be completed by the parent and one by the child.

If your child

1. visits first, second, or third grade and
2. is gifted (either determined by an IQ-test or by your perception),

Parents will be asked questions about their child`s preschool setting and about his or her personality. Children will be asked about their feelings about preschool, about school, about their self confidence and happyness. The questions are designed so that the child should not develop negative feelings toward his or her actual setting, however, if you are concerned about any question, please send in an incomplete questionnaire rather than none. In that case, please read all questions to your child which you want him or her to answer and fill in the answers.

To match the parent questionnaire with the child questionnaire please assign yourself a (freely invented) username and password. In case you participate for more than one child these need to be different for each child. This log-in information is stored separatedly from the completed forms so that your and your child's privacy can be guaranteed. You can also utilize the log-in information to complete your questionnaire at a different time than your child does by logging in both times with the same user name.
